All of our bars of soap are made using entirely natural, plant-based ingredients. Olive oil is mixed with lye (an alkali) to create the soap base which is called the saponification process. This is what turns the olive oil you may use on your food, into an oil that will cleanse you. Don't worry, all the lye that goes into our soap is used in the saponification process so none actually remains in your final bar. Once the soap base has been made, laurel oil (for a range of nurturing qualities), glycerin (for moisturising) and chlorophyll (to enhance natural colour) are added before the soap is hand poured and allowed to set.

Once our natural, cleansing ingredients have been combined, our bars are poured over a cold slab and allowed to set over 24 hours. After this, they are cut using traditional tools and individually hand stamped using our maker's unique insignia. In order to become the golden bars you receive, the soft green soaps are stacked and left to dry in temperature controlled chambers for nine months. Upon cutting into your soap, you will be able to see that beautiful green hue once more.

We are consistently working hard to ensure that our packaging is as sustainable as possible and commit to never including plastic packaging. We source recycled materials where possible and only use uncoated card in our packaging and promotional materials.

Yes! Our Original Olive Oil soap is made with limited ingredients, all of which are naturally occuring and do not cause reaction to sensitive skin. Our soap is suitable for use on people of all ages including babies and children. *We are not medically trained and do not guarantee this.
